Blur an image
Drop an image and drag the slider until it looks right. The preview updates as you drag; the download is processed at full resolution.
Frequently asked questions
How do I blur a picture?
Drop the picture above and move the Blur strength slider. Low values soften the image; high values turn it into an abstract background.
Can I blur only part of a photo, like a face or a number plate?
Not yet — this tool blurs the whole image. To hide personal details safely, crop them out or cover them with a solid box: a light blur can sometimes be partly reversed.
Why does the download take longer than the preview?
The preview is calculated on a smaller copy so the slider stays smooth. The download repeats the blur on every pixel of the original, which takes a second or two for large photos.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs inside your browser. Your photo never leaves your device, and nothing is stored after you close the tab.
