Crop an image into a circle

Drop a photo, drag and resize the circle over the part you want, then download a round PNG with transparent corners.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the result a PNG?

Only PNG keeps the corners outside the circle transparent. JPG would fill them with a solid colour.

How big is the round picture?

The same as the area you select in the original, up to 2048 × 2048 px. Profile pictures are usually shown at 400 px or less, so any reasonably sharp photo is enough.

Do social networks need a round picture?

No — most of them crop a square photo into a circle by themselves. A round PNG is handy for slides, websites, email signatures and logos, where you have to make the circle yourself.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs inside your browser. Your photo never leaves your device, and nothing is stored after you close the tab.
