Frequently asked questions
How do I find the HEX code of a colour in a picture?
Drop the picture above and move over it — the code under the pointer is shown live — then click to keep it. Use the Copy button next to HEX, RGB or HSL.
Is the colour exact?
Yes, it reads the original pixel, not a resized preview. JPG compression makes neighbouring pixels differ slightly, so pick a few points in a large area if you want a typical value.
Can I pick a colour from my screen or another website?
Take a screenshot and paste it here with Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on a Mac).
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs inside your browser. Your photo never leaves your device, and nothing is stored after you close the tab.
