Compress an image to an exact KB size

Type the KB limit from your application form and Picwright finds the best quality that fits. You can also set a minimum, for forms that ask for something like 20–50 KB.

Frequently asked questions

How do I reduce a photo to 50 KB?

Drop your photo above. Picwright tries different JPEG quality levels and keeps the sharpest version that is still under 50 KB. If the photo is very large it also scales it down a little.

Will the photo still be accepted by the form?

Most forms check the file type, size in KB and pixel dimensions. The result is a standard JPEG; check the result panel for the exact KB and pixels before you upload.

What if the form also needs a minimum size, like 20–50 KB?

Use the KB range fields. If the photo comes out too small, Picwright raises the quality first and, as a last resort, adds harmless padding so the file reaches the minimum.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs inside your browser. Your photo never leaves your device, and nothing is stored after you close the tab.
